I was terrified by this chopped-off hand that I saw in a horror movie when I was about seven. Don't ask me why we kids were watching horror movies in the basement while the parents were upstairs playing cards - it was the Seventies.
Anyway, that hand haunted me for years. Oh, so did The Blob after our local TV station advertised the movie during Saturday morning cartoons.
Like I said, it was the Seventies.
I was afraid of Smokey the Bear and firemen.
Smokey did look a little weird.......the crime dog did too now that I think about it...McGruff was it....
