Grandma called it " The Sugar"
Did you guys have grandparents that had alternate names for things. Many of the old folks I grew up around called diabetes "The Sugar".

She called the windows in the car "the glass"
lol, yeah. My folks just called it sugar though...no the. And ALL refridgerators were fridgedairs. lol lol
When she was broke my mother said my grandmother referred to it as "being put out" and she pre-empted EVERYTHING with "R-UH"..what that meant!!

haha yeah..sugar runs in my family! All my people stil call it sugar.
